How it works

  1. Rent your SOUNDBOKS Gen4 Battery online before the festival
  2. Pick up your battery at one of our Recharge Zones at the festival
  3. Use the battery during the festival as your primary or extra battery
  4. Return it at the same location before the festival ends
  5. Your deposit will be refunded after the festival

Important: Our Battery Swap service only works with Gen4 batteries. If you have a Gen1–3 battery (or no battery at all), this product is designed to give you access to the Gen4 system.

When is this useful?

SOUNDBOKS Gen4 Battery Rental is ideal if you do not already own a Gen4 battery, have an older battery (Gen1–3), or simply want an extra battery as backup during the festival. It gives you access to our Battery Swap service and helps keep the party going longer.

Rental fee & deposit
Rental of a SOUNDBOKS Gen4 Battery costs 200 DKK + a refundable deposit of 1,400 DKK.

How the deposit works
The deposit is refunded to the same payment method used for the purchase when the battery is returned at the same festival — typically within 14 business days.

If you keep the battery
If you choose to keep the battery after the festival, the deposit will be retained.

Pick-up & return
Your SOUNDBOKS Gen4 Battery can be picked up and returned at Volt Recharge Zones during festival opening hours.

Use during the festival
The battery can be used freely throughout the festival as your primary or extra battery.

Which batteries can be used for Battery Swap?
Only SOUNDBOKS Gen4 batteries can be used with our Battery Swap service.

Which SOUNDBOKS speakers are compatible?
The Gen4 battery works with SOUNDBOKS 2, 3, 4, as well as SOUNDBOKS Go and SOUNDBOKS Mix.

Can I use my own SOUNDBOKS Gen4 battery?
Yes. You can use your own Gen4 battery with our Battery Swap service. Your first swap is registered when you hand in your battery for exchange the first time.

How do I get my deposit back?
Return your rented battery no later than the last day of the festival. The deposit is typically refunded within 14 business days. If you choose to keep the battery, the deposit will be retained.

What happens if the battery is damaged?
If a battery is defective or has visible damage, it may be refused for Battery Swap or return.
We recommend checking the battery together with staff at pick-up to ensure everything is working as expected.

Where do I pick up and return the battery?
Pick-up and return take place at Volt Recharge Zones during festival opening hours.

SOUNDBOKS Battery Rental is provided and operated by Volt, with on-site support available at Volt locations during festival opening hours.

Use of SOUNDBOKS Battery Rental is at your own risk. Volt is not responsible for loss, damage, or misuse of batteries, or for injuries or damages caused by improper use.

Compatibility
Only SOUNDBOKS Gen4 batteries are available for rental and Battery Swap. Gen1–3 batteries are not compatible with the service.

Charging & Battery Swap
Battery Swap service is only compatible with SOUNDBOKS Gen4 batteries. Batteries received through swapping may vary in appearance and normal wear compared to the battery handed in. Ownership and the original warranty period are transferred to the swapped battery and are not extended.

Deposit
Rented batteries require a refundable deposit of 1,400 DKK, paid at checkout. The deposit is refunded within 14 business days after the battery is returned at the festival. If you choose to keep the battery, the deposit will be retained.

Returns
The battery must be returned no later than the last day of the festival. Returns after the festival has ended will not be accepted.

Battery condition
Batteries with visible damage may be refused for Battery Swap or return.

Availability
Battery Swap and rental services are available during festival opening hours and are subject to capacity and availability. Volt reserves the right to temporarily suspend Battery Swap in case of extraordinary demand or capacity limitations.
