Terms and Conditions

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you, as a consumer, buy or rent services from Volt ApS, whether you buy in our webshop, through pre-booking, or on site at the festival or venue. Last updated 08/10/2026.

The terms apply to purchases through all of Volt's sales channels, including but not limited to getvolt.dk, getvolt.tech, getvolt.no, getvolt.se, getlocker.dk, getlocker.tech and getcharge.tech.

Permanent locker installations. At venues with permanent lockers, Volt sells on behalf of the venue. The venue is the seller and handles support, and the venue's own terms apply. These terms only apply to the extent the venue refers to them. Contact the venue directly with questions about your booking.

The seller is:

Volt ApS · CVR 42439916 · Smallegade 52E, 2000 Frederiksberg, Denmark · support@getvolt.dk · +45 9310 9121

If you bought Volt's services through a festival, a venue or one of their partners, their own terms may also apply. Each festival or venue may also have specific rules on opening hours, prices and locations, which are shown at purchase or on site.

2. Purchase, prices and payment

All prices are in Danish kroner (or the currency shown) including VAT. The agreement is made when you have paid and received an order confirmation by email or text message.

We accept payment cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and MobilePay/Vipps. Payments are handled by Stripe and Vipps MobilePay, and Volt never sees your full card details. The amount is charged when you complete the purchase.

When you receive a powerbank or a Soundboks battery, you pay a deposit (see sections 5 and 6). It is refunded when the equipment is returned no later than the last opening day of the festival or event. If the equipment is not returned, it is considered bought, and the deposit is the purchase price.

Your order confirmation contains a purchase ID, which also appears on your bank statement. Use it when you contact us about your purchase.

3. Right of withdrawal and cancellation

There is no right of withdrawal for lockers, charging and Soundboks batteries tied to a specific festival, event or period. This follows from section 18(2)(12) of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act on services related to leisure activities where the agreement sets a specific date or period.

We still offer the following:

  • Cancellation up to 14 days before the festival or booking starts: full refund
  • Cancellation less than 14 days before the start: no refund
  • If the festival or event is cancelled, we refund the full amount for services that cannot be delivered

To cancel, email support@getvolt.dk with your purchase ID. Bookings made less than 14 days before the start cannot be refunded. Refunds cover the full amount, including any fees.

4. Lockers

Rental period. You can use the locker during the period stated in your order confirmation, and open and close it as many times as you like during that period.

Access code. You receive an access code or a link by email or text message. Only share it with people you trust. Anyone with the code can open the locker, and we cannot see who opened it. If you lose your code, contact support on +45 9310 9121 or support@getvolt.dk to have it sent again.

Prohibited items. The locker must not be used for:

  • Illegal items, drugs or weapons
  • Flammable, explosive or corrosive substances, including gas canisters
  • Perishable food. This does not apply to cool lockers, which are meant for food and drink
  • Animals, alive or dead

We may open the locker without notice if the police, festival security or the authorities require it, or if we suspect prohibited items or danger to people or equipment.

After the rental period. The locker must be empty when the period ends. Items left behind are removed and handed over to the festival's or event's lost and found, unless the booking information says otherwise. Volt then has no responsibility for the items, and you must contact the festival or event to get them back.

Storage and liability. The locker is a storage space, not a staffed cloakroom. Volt is not liable for loss of, theft of or damage to the contents, see section 8. Do not store valuables you cannot afford to lose, and check your own home contents insurance.

Cool lockers. At some festivals, such as Roskilde Festival, we offer cool lockers for food and drink. Cooling depends on the power supply at the site and on how often the locker is opened. We do not guarantee a specific temperature and are not liable for power cuts, temperature changes or food that spoils. If you notice a problem, contact the stand or support on +45 9310 9121, and we will do our best to help, for example by moving you to another cool locker.

5. Charging with powerbanks

How it works. You buy a charging pass or a single charge and receive a charged powerbank. With a pass, you can swap it for a newly charged powerbank at our stands as many times as the pass allows during its validity. Cables are handed out with the powerbank and must be returned with it.

Deposit. You pay a deposit when you receive the powerbank. The amount is shown at purchase or at the stand and may vary between festivals and during the season. It is refunded when the powerbank and cable are returned to one of our stands no later than the last opening day of the festival or event.

If you take the powerbank home. If you do not return the powerbank by the last opening day, it is considered bought, and the deposit is the purchase price. You can bring the powerbank to a later festival or event where Volt is present and use it instead of paying a new deposit. It must be intact and in working condition.

Use. Handle the powerbank with care. Do not open it, expose it to water or fire, or use it for anything other than charging mobile phones and similar small devices.

Your device. Volt is not liable for damage to your phone or other devices caused by using the powerbank, see section 8. Report faulty equipment to the stand right away so we can swap it.

6. Soundboks battery swap

How it works. We offer two services for Soundboks Gen4. Other models are not supported.

  • Rental: If you do not have your own battery, you can rent a charged Volt battery for a rental fee and a deposit, both shown at purchase. During the rental period, you can swap it for a charged battery at our stands.
  • Swap: If you have your own Soundboks Gen4 battery, you can swap your empty battery for a charged one at our stands, paying for a single swap or a battery pass.

Ownership when swapping. A swap is battery for battery. You transfer ownership of your battery to Volt and own the battery you receive. Batteries are used and in working condition but may differ in age and capacity from your own. A rented battery remains Volt's property.

Deposit for rentals. You pay a deposit when you receive a rented battery. The amount is shown at purchase or at the stand and may vary between festivals and during the season. It is refunded when the battery is returned to one of our stands no later than the last opening day of the festival or event. The rental fee is not refunded.

If you take a rented battery home. If you do not return the battery by the last opening day, it is considered bought, and the deposit is the purchase price. The battery does not exempt you from deposits at later festivals or events.

Use. Handle the battery with care. Do not open it, submerge it in water, drop it from a height or expose it to fire. We may refuse to swap a battery that is visibly damaged, swollen or not an original Soundboks battery.

Your speaker. Volt is not liable for damage to your speaker caused by using the battery, see section 8.

7. Partner products

Volt also rents out products on behalf of partners, for example BoogieBeam at Roskilde Festival on behalf of Mojo Studio ApS, CVR 46283317 (mojostudio.dk). The partner is the lessor and is responsible for the product, and Volt handles the rental and payment. Specific terms for each product, such as deposit and return, are shown at purchase or at the stand. These terms also apply where relevant.

8. Faults, complaints and refunds

If something does not work. If you cannot open your locker, or a powerbank or battery does not work, contact the stand or support on +45 9310 9121 or support@getvolt.dk right away. We will first try to solve the problem, for example by opening the locker, giving you another locker or swapping the equipment.

Refunds. If we cannot deliver what you paid for, and this is Volt's fault, we refund all or a proportionate part of the amount. Refunds go to the payment method you used, normally within 14 days.

Complaints. You must complain within a reasonable time after discovering the fault. Complaints about a festival should be sent no later than 14 days after the festival ends, so we can look into it while the information still exists. Personal data about bookings is deleted 90 days after the booking period, but the purchase can still be found with the purchase ID on your bank statement. If you have not opted out of marketing, your name and email are kept on our marketing list, see the privacy policy.

Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, Volt is not liable for:

  • loss of, theft of or damage to belongings, including locker contents and items left behind
  • damage resulting from misuse or incorrect use of Volt's equipment
  • damage you cause to yourself or your belongings by using Volt's products and services
  • indirect loss, such as lost earnings or lost experiences
  • circumstances outside our control, such as power cuts, extreme weather, orders from authorities or decisions made by the festival

These limitations do not apply if Volt has acted with gross negligence or intent, to liability under the Danish Product Liability Act, or to the extent they conflict with mandatory consumer rules.

9. Personal data

We process your data to deliver what you bought, send access codes and receipts, and handle payment and support. How we do this, and who is the data controller, is described in our privacy policy and on the data processing agreement page. Links to both are also at the bottom of this page. Questions about personal data and GDPR go to privacy@getvolt.dk.

10. Complaints, governing law and contact

If you have a complaint, email support@getvolt.dk with your purchase ID. Questions about these terms go to privacy@getvolt.dk. We normally reply within 5 business days.

If we cannot agree, you can complain to Nævnenes Hus (the Danish Board of Consumer Complaints), Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark. If you live in another EU country, you can get help from the European Consumer Centre Denmark (Forbrugereuropa).

These terms are governed by Danish law. This does not affect the mandatory consumer rules of the country you live in.

In case of differences between the Danish and English versions, the Danish version applies.
